Language is built upon words, which are built upon letters, and has many social and cultural uses, such as signifying group identity, as well as social grooming and entertainment. Deeply entrenched in human culture, we learn and acquire language through social interaction in early childhood. Inspired by artists from the New York City underground Hardcore/Punk community, this print is a collection of letters from many bands whose words helped build and shape the language by which many of us speak.
